Yep. Exactly the same for me. Above 2000 rpm all good. Using command shift to stay above 2000rpm keeps the shudder at bay but booking in for a new TC next week. Bought a boat getting close to 3 tonne so most probably a good time to do it before I start towing.Quote:

I just wanted to give you an update - we engaged a local Auto specialist to undertake a "mega flush" and full inspection. The mechanic completed the flush, and we also opted to change to a metal sump to make future oil changes simpler.
We took the Disco on a decent 2hr highway run this afternoon and there is now no shudder at all. The mechanic told us this was a very common issue, and as we had caught the issue early there was very little chance of any damage being caused.
So despite some on here suggesting immediately replacing the TC, or even rebuilding the entire gearbox, a simple flush and she is good as new. We will now undertake trans oil changes with every service.

That is a great outcome! I have a similar one this week that responded exactly the same way. After a further 20,000km it is ever so slightly shuddering again. I will be dropping the pan for an inspection this week, I suspect that there will finally be some evidence of TC clutch failure, ( the overall km this car has done is 240k+), however I will report back after the investigation.

May pay to work on your comprehension skills as nobody told you to replace the TC right away.
Good news. Looking forward to future progress report and definitely every 80,000km is ok for the oil change otherwise each service will be very expensive and pointless.
Changing to a metal sump does not make oil changes simpler - the oil change process is the same with both types of sumps.Quote:

With the plastic sump, the filter is integral with the sump and the sump is destroyed when it is removed with the engine, gearbox etc in place and the new one cannot be installed without moving assemblies around.
