Any noticeable tests I can do?
I did a terrain response course with Gordon and he did mention that there was a newer generation that succeeded my MY11. Not sure that LR would release an update to bring us old owners up to speed with the new models.
Hell they won't even update my sat nav,, my house is five years old and doesn't exist!
Are the file names and types the same between the two units? Can I pay gap to build me a file and upload through my rovacom iq?
    Josh,

The updated files upload to the vehicle just fine.
It will give you the later performing Terrain Response.

Well worth it, it’s so much better again!

Here’s the answer I just received now:

    Dear John,

    Thanks for your E-Mail.

As you might appreciate, our Rovacom-IQ app and matching VCIQ hardware has
only recently been announced and released.

We have developed the app using a cross compiler, so we clearly intend to
add an IOS version at some point.

However we really cannot commit to any time frame for that and if we had
to take a guess, it would be a minimum of 6 months from now.

Any news will be announced on our website.

    Kind regards
    Andreas

Make sure to have a power supply based charger attached to your battery when doing updates.

The vehicle needs stable power for successful programming.

If you don’t have a charger with supply mode, at minimum fully charge the battery before attempting updates.

Hmm. I have a 6A 9-stage charger. OzCharge 1206U. I'll take the Disco for a good drive then connect the charger before initiating the update. Thanks again.

My power is a little remote .... I'm wondering for the price of an OzCharge 1206U - I should just go for a dual battery traxide kit... (Haven't worked out it it gives the resilience)

These updates are they the same sort one would get during a service at a dealer, or in effect modifications?

Unlikely the dealer will kid the latest Terrain response to an older vehicle.

Also, dealers only do ECU upgrades if the client complains of a a problem that these updates are known to resolve. (Ain’t broke don’t fix mentality)

Wondering, is the incorrect lt/100km thing fixed when you do a remap?

Just curious. If you've had a re-map done are the terrain responses updated as well (generally)? I'm guessing not but thought I'd ask.
