    Thoughts on this replacement compressor

    hi all
I have the dreaded "only normal height available" message for a few months now, so I'm looking around at repair or replacement costs and options.

    Came across this one
    https://aerosus.co.uk/land-rover/dis...2010-2017.html

It seems to be a lot cheaper than others that I have found, comes to £285 including delivery.

Bearmach ones are $700 and out of stock and others appear to be a lot more.

Anyone got any thoughts on its suitabilty as a replacement for my 2014 D4 compressor?

If it isn't suitable, where is the latest "go to" place for replacement compressors?

    regards
    John

Those that buy cheap, buy twice.

As a major working system in your vehicle I wouldn’t recommend cutting corners.

    Things to buy genuine
    -Compressor
    - Filters
    - Any Sensor

My thoughts are pretty much the same as Tombie, although in time it may prove itself don't think I'd risk it.

Also, I would be doing some investigation before leaping straight to compressor replacement. Have you had the codes read?

    Cheers,

Thanks Tombie and Scott for your views, appreciate it.

Scott, yes there are 3 codes given,
C1A27-12 (AF) Compressor circuit - General electrical failure - circuit short to battery

C1131-92 (28) Air supply - Component failure - performance or incorrect operation

C1A20-64 (AF) Pressure increases too slow when filling reservoir - Algorithm based failure - signal plausibility failure

Looking at posts here and the UK forum seemed to indicate to my uneducated eyes that C1A20-64 was the main cause and was a sign that the compressor needed replacing or repair?

Looking around I can see plenty of repair kits for the Hitachi but not the full repair kits for the AMK.

    Regards
    John

Fair chance you're right John but I would investigate for air leaks first I think.

    Hi John,

I have an xxv with 50k and been through the same issue. After thoroughly checking valves and air leaks a replacement sourced from tr spares solved issue immediately.

Thanks Ben, really appreciate that. It of interest how long did it take to arrive?
