This is great info thanks Lukeis... Ive also been running K02's but on 18inch Moab wheels. Im thinking about making a change to the AT plus or D697. From what I'm reading the AT Plus is not offered in a LT construction, but it does talk about re-enforced side walls... Any thoughts or comment on this? Thanks

great info thank you Lukeis. Im currently running K02s on 18" but thinking of the AT Plus option. Do you have an concern that the AT Plus is not LT rated? The other option is D697s

As with other comments in this thread, I'd recommend going a bit smaller size. I've found the 697s I inherited to be a tad big when off road (and that's just in the bush, not hard core).

I think from memory it is Lukeis who is travelling in the centre and has had a significant issue with a tyre while towing, which I hope is due to something other than the manufacture, as I like the Pirellis too.

His size is 265/60 that has LI 110 rather than the 255/60 XL size that has LI 112, not that I think that the slightly lower LI is the cause of the rapid wear on his tyres.

Thanks Graeme, I missed that and was thinking of the size in the thread heading (which is the size I inherited)

For what it's worth I have had the AT+ for 6months and really happy. Been great on sand and gravel and especially pleased in the wet. I have them in stock 255/55/19 but they look wider that previous tyres

I’m going to soon change out my Cooper AT3s 265/60/18s. What’s recommended in the 18” AT+, out of 255/60/18 112H XL vs 265/60/18 110H vs 265/65/18 114T?

Changing to 265/65/18 would mean 5 new tyres, due to size difference, which is probably a good idea as the spare is quite old.

265/65R18 being very slightly smaller in diameter and narrower in the tread than my 275/55R20 AT+ might be not rub the liners in front of the front wheels when the wheels are turned while at access height.

If I changed front brakes to allow 18" to fit then I'd fit 255/60R18 being slightly narrower and with higher load rating than 265/60R18 but I don't have any 265/60R18 that might be usable spares.
