M10 eye bolts as per the photo. They fit into the existing m10 seat bolts. So simple and awesome. Four straps to hold it in place. Ran power from my main battery wire that powers my accessories. Next year I’ll rewire it all when I switch to a Traxide kit but for now I have a power run that powers my brake controller, UHF and now fridge. Fridge is 4.5amps at turbo cool (start up) and around 1-2amps once cooled down.

I thought you could not get the last 5 litres out of a D4. Are you sure the pump was accurate?

Took the D4 in for a 160000 service and a couple of other things. Not looking forward to tomorrow’s bill

- Did the turbo drain replacement, oh the humanity! A royal pain given the tight access, but rewarding to get it done.

- Key fob was delaminating, so just got a new cover. Two minute job.

Received the parts from Advanced Factors in just four days, listed below. Great that they put together a kit of parts for the turbo pipe.

I've got a D3 and thats the second time I've put more than 82 litres in (I've put 80 Litres in a number of times). The first was my local servo and I checked the calibration date on the pump when I did it. It was recent. Can't vouch for the one in Northcliffe but I can guarantee I drove in (very slowly) on fumes.

I always thought the 5 litres thing was an old wives tale frankly. Look at the way the tank is built and you should be able to run it down to the swirl pot. What would be the point of designing a tank where you couldn't access the last 5% of the fuel?

I must admit that was one of the few times I suffered "range anxiety" due to poor planning on my part. 25 odd years ago in the old 2.4 D1 I ran out of fuel at 2am on the way to the Murchison roadhouse and had to walk 16k's there in the morning to get a jerry and a lift back to the car. I still remember the old bushies drawl "Its a diesel, yer gonna have to bleed it son". He was astonished when it fired up after a bit of cranking.
