Cheers mate, it has been a fair amount of work to get it all done but well worth it, removing the seats creates a heap of room and removes a heap of weight, haven't weighed the seats but my guess is well over 100kg between them all

Thats an awesome idea to have the false floor on a slide

I see from one picture that you've also done something I've been thinking about - is that ally checker plate on the inside of the tail gate? How does that work with the 'sliding' of the lower piece over the upper as it shuts? I've been wondering about ute tray rubber just on the lower bit...

A friend has cooked his TC via a leaking seal in a RRS TDV6 same model as the Discovery. Just checking if one from the wreckers Disco or RRS can be swapped in or are they linked to the VIN?

According to Microcat 2012, the same part number for the TC LR023011 applies to all LRs & RRs at least until 2012 models.

Yes but can you plug and play from one vehicle to another or does the TC ECU need changing or reconfiguring to new VIN as well?

Its not solid checker plate, its a rubber mate that is cut to the correct shape with hook and loop sticky valco across the top to hold it in place and the bottom section just gets folded up when the tail gate is closed.

It mean I can stand on the open tailgate with dirty shoes or use it as a table if needed without the carpet getting trashed

I just swapped the unit straight over then did the calibration on my D4, shame it didn't fix the back lash issue I have, but was worth it to lube that spline

Thankfully no third issue so far. Fuel issue rectified today and so nice to get out and not smell diesel

No ecu inside the TC but the clutch calibration needs to be re-done for the control unit, as already mentioned. An IIDtool can do the calibration.
