The new Genuine lower arm bolts arrived and I finally fitted them this evening.

Bolts are different visually, and feel heavier (I’ll weigh them)

Removed the cheesium ones and fitted the Genuine units in about 45 min.

Removed units, where the slots are to retain the offset washer are twisted What happened to your D3/D4 today? What happened to your D3/D4 today?. Pieces of absolute junk.

Wheel alignment in the morning and then off to Melrose to pick up new eMTB.

Cheesium - nice one. Must be designed to make removal easier.

Return trip to Carnarvon last week pleased to say none of the recent jobs leaked or fell off. Car went like a train sooo nice.

Best fuel price is the new Liberty servo at Dongara. Fuel is cheaper out of Perth than my local servos.

These were part of the Optimal arm kit.
AF advised “we never have issues with these” yet Disco3UK has plenty of threads showing problems.

I’ve since fitted the genuine bolts and torqued up perfectly first time with no issues.

So I wonder if the bolt only kits they sell are better OE quality and the fault lies with (sub)Optimal. Might pay to buy bolt kit and toss the ones they provide with arms.

Apparently a very similar material to "Chinesium" which is gaining popularity in the manufacture of hand tools.

I think I know what Tombie's problem was - he should have done up the Cheesium bolts with a Chinesium spanner or socket - the two are mutually compatible.
    Cheers .........
