Fitted a set of Terrafirma TF818 rock sliders today, as well as an APT compressor guard. Added some grip tape so the bars can be used as a step.

So my rear passenger window has been playing up. Despite resetting the upper limit using the “hold the upper switch” process, it would endlessly bounce down when putting it up, like it was sensing an obstruction.
After getting tired of this, I remembered the GAP tool had a process to reset the upper limits. Following this process it resolved the issue once and for all.
Another win for the good old GAP tool.
Added some vinyl side graphics. Always felt the front and rear doors needed something to break up the large flat surface, and a bit of red colour ties back in with the rear taillights.

VicRoads advised the D4 is no longer mine.
It’s been a good run for 6 years and particularly happy with the flawless 6500km last month doing the Madigan line and a lot of highway transit.
Enjoying the L663. A tad harsher ride but that straight 6 is music.
Upgraded the solar charge controller for the roof rack mounted solar panels from a generic PWM controller to a Victron MPPT SmartSolar controller. The difference in power being harvested was amazing.
My panels are over 10yrs old and recently have been struggling to hit the absorption voltage - not helped being in Melbourne. The Victron MPPT controller overcomes the inefficiencies of the panels much better than the PWM controller could do.
This was a typical day with the PWM controller:

This was the day I made the change just after midday:

This is the day after with the MPPT controller:

The weather conditions on all three days was similar. The dip in volts after 8am is as a shadow from the house passes over the panels for about 30-40mins.
Next step will be to upgrade the panels.
800km meandering weekend trip to Burra for a music festival.
Stops at a few nice pubs along the way.
196,000km and rising - never seen a tow truck, never failed to proceed.

new set of tyres, MAXXIS 771. Huge improvement in handling and cornering over the Pirelli's I had previously. Cheaper as well.
Ordered a Tesla yesterday, Disco very upset even after assurances that I wouldn't send him away[bawl]
