Well after close to 22 yrs of running the same number plate over 3 different LRs today seen it come to an end..
A move to McGowanistan seen the faithful NT rego have to end..
Have decided not to get it here as they got more than enough $$ out of me today and not sure if the D3 will stay for to much longer, so for now will just blend in with the crowd.
Bulletman
Reading a sand driving thread on FB and guy mentioned this for a D3 which I have yet to try and never heard of it before. Apparently includes gearbox temp.

Turn the radio on (from off obviously) and immediately push the right knob in for about 15 seconds or so, it brings up the year your car was made, etc, if you turn that same knob you can flick through a few other things...some are undecipherable...if you then repress it again and hold it down for roughly the same amount of time it brings up a 2nd menu, this has a lot more things in it that you can change. But again rotate that knob and you eventually get to a menu that has temp, speed plus a few other things...such as voltage settings for radio things and some timers very basic but may be helpful. Just take note if you change anything, it may affect something else and you may need to change it back...
Update: doesn’t work for me on base spec stereo
Xmas week end -
- 1200 kms Perth to Kal and return. Went beautifully, around 10-11 ltrs/100.
Today -
- Transfer case/box fluid change with the 'special' LR fluid (job was a little more difficult with arm and leg missing[wink11]) and calibration via GAP Tool. On test drive evidence, seems to have cured the slight knock that was happening on acceleration from stopped and turning left.
- Changed fuel filter.
- 20" swapped for 18" ready for Denmark next week.
