More alarming is the inability to procure - is that a NT thing, or is this the beginning of parts being hard to find for these cars?

I've found a number of parts are "NLA" over the last couple of years, so yeah time is running out.
An age thing and also parts related to a relatively small number of vehicles that are (1) 20 years old and (2) have the rear air conditioner and heater set up. As Brad says there's becoming more "NLA" over the last few years.
I believe the carriage of parts by the vehicle maker is still pretty much driven by the 10 year rule so the D3 models are all well past that now.
Adjusted the Park Brake, and I'm still getting this.
U3000-4B- Control module- System internal failure- over
temperature (68)
The park brake wouldn't release for a bit, I'm not sure what I did to to get it off.
It was 10 deg in the shed and it came up with the fault as soon as it was applied, is it really over temperature?
I'll get a T50 torx and pull the disks off and give it all a good clean.
Or am I looking at an actuator problem?

Stuff like heater pipes are going to eventually be replaced with fabricated replacement and hose clamps.
The plugs, sockets and clips will all fall to bits and the only way forwards is going to be substitution.
It's times like this I love having a lathe :)
My old Volvo would be 38 this year. Same deal, plastic bits were all falling to bits and the 940 (its younger brother) at > 20 years old was starting to get to a point where bits were NLA. Fabrication was the only way forwards. Unfortunately for the D3, the D4 is now 9 years out of manufacture, and frankly Landrover don't care about their customers like Volvo did, so parts are becoming harder to get already.
I'm just basing my hope on the UK aftermarket. Heck I can still new/repro get parts for our 1965 TR4A. I hope the D3 has the same sort of support.
