The Mrs came home from night shift this morning and said she nearly kissed a car she didn't see. She's a great driver. I took it to get fuel while she was in bed. Needed a neck like Mr squiggle to get round, a round about. Came home and pulled them off. The glue took some work.

The ones I bought were to wide (as in from the car) and the folding mirrors hit them and stalled against them.
Unfortunately for me. I bought more expensive ones thinking I was doing the right thing
I haven’t had any of these issues. The D2 ones used to interfere with the mirrors but I’ve had no issues at all with these weathershields

Excellent thanks Jon! There are about 5mins from me and great people to deal with. I'll dress up like an astronaut and go visit them.

The whole Discovery 3 thing threw me.

Bought a new “duct” as it’s known, but it’s the “elbow” 90 degree bit that bolts onto the throttle body. Mine had continuously cocked and leaked on the far side from the bolt, leaking boost and oil all down the front of the engine.

Looking at the old one I found a crack in the unit where the spring sat allowing more movement, plus wear on the metal spring and plastic housing - all adding up to it moving and leaking.

New unit so far is holding firm. That said, NOTE: there is a workshop mod to all new elbows/ducts. You need to shave the corner off the unit - a strengthening line that clashes with the coolant hose. An ex- Land Rover mechanic told me about the mod they all do.
Will also post in the other thread for consistency.

yes, they fit beautifully and don’t foul on anything. They do tend to make the A pillar a bit wide though. I find that a bit of a nuisance especially on tight right hand corners but just have to move my head a bit more. I reckon that is also influenced by your seating position too.

    cheers

I finally got the bullbar adjusted so it’s sitting straight. Being a ***** of a job I paid someone to do it for me. Money well spent IMHO - The shop agreed that it was a nightmare to get the bar straight. It took them all day!

So today I stuck the Land Rover letters on it. Just a quick 5 minute job for this Easter Sunday. Sorry about the sideways pics. I normally use tapatalk and never have any issues. Stupid website!

    Happy Easter everyone.

I did oil and filters. Used the suction method for the first time. Trap for young players- hold the outlet tube in the container, lest it flick out and oil goes everywhere..... 10 year old daughter came out and said: "you should put a hole in the cap for the tube...." I said "great idea" to which she replied: "better than your idea..."

Having said that, what a fantastic way to do oil changes. Makes me want to do them more often.....
