What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Collected the D3 after getting a 140K service and having the RAI fitted.
And fitting a new alternator to replace the one which sounded like a supercharger.
And fitting a new radiator to replace the weeping one.
And replacing the water pump - if all those above bits are taken out, hell, why not do the water pump as well.
And replace the fan belt while they are at it.
And replace the 15 year old radiator hoses.
And it now drives like a dream again.

There are different lengths of stem available and the shorter ones tend to be less flexible.

Another option is heat shrink (glue backed version) shrunk over the casing to space the metal away from the rim a little.

Packed the car ready to head away tomorrow after work and a quick look over the car has revealed a bulge in the sidewall of one of the tyres, the spare already has a plug in the tread near the sidewall.

I had planned on running out these tyres over the next month or two as this trip will be pretty much highway driving but now with 2 tyres compromised looks like I am up for a set of tyres sooner rather than later.

Now I have to take the car into work tomorrow and start the race to see what tyres are in stock in Bendigo, hopefully AT’s by Pirelli, Hankook, Maxxis or Toyo.

Not sure if it will fix pitting but this product is excellent for cleaning wheels. Their other products are good too and they're an aussie company. :)
