Mum asked me what I wanted as a house warming present when I bought my first place and I asked for a concrete aboriginal. She couldn't lay her hands on one for the yard (people no longer had a sense of humour) so she made me one to sit on the dining room shelf. My grandfather had a concrete aboriginal in the yard complete with spear when I was very young (pre Kingswood Country).
"You're not taking the Kingswood, I just polished the dipstick. Every time I take it out it's covered in oil!."
I now have the complete collection, and they tend to get watched late at night when I need a laugh. That or Father Ted anyway.
Cheers, Dale

As per previous post and against all advice I have changed my 12S and 12N sockets for a European 13 pin socket and changed the van to match.
In doing this I noticed that pin 2 on the 12N socket gets power on the rear fog light switching on, it is not the reserving light signal. That signal is from pin 1 on the 12S socket.
In moving everything now to a 13 pin socket my fog light on the caravan works correctly as does the reversing light when I engage reverse gear.
This means anyone that hooks up a trailer or caravan with a standard 12N+12S socket that is not modified to match the Australian 7 pin standard may find you need to switch on your rear fog light to make the reversing light on the trailer/van switch on and off.
I’m sure you all knew that already

Had some dramas with my el-cheapo solar set up on my roof rack. End up putting on a victron controller and panel, was suprised at how cheap it was. The eBay crap I put on was only$79 and lasted a few years till the controller died, but I didn't want to do it again. Blue tooth victron MPPT so I can track the panel and victron 115w panel, I wanted bigger, but just won't fit with my current arrangement.
I had need to use the mechanical emergency key to unlock my Discovery 4 today thanks to my key fob taking an unexpected dip in the ocean... only to find that it wouldn't open the doors!! It fitted and turned but nothing happened!! Ended up cleaning the key fob which fortunately did open the car once a new battery was used. Once home, I tested the mechanical key and found that it would lock the doors but still wouldn't unlock them!!
Anyone had this happen to them?
Today I went investigating a rattle from the roof rack.
Turned out the centre brace on the wind deflector has peeled it’s double sided tape (as supplied) off and was vibrating in the wind.
Sikaflex 227 is curing at the moment and will refit in the morning.
Toolangi, Narbathong, Buxton - I did actually get on a road in BuxtonSome fun with wash outs and a few dead ends as the trees down were more than my chain saw
A few times the little guy refused to drive down! Hill decent and such did not give him confidence to the decent angles.
A joke on Vigara was told to him (I put in JOKES last week). He was not amused! Video taken but as the person recording squealed a bit I am NOT permitted to share it. We are going to die was said a bit by one crew member
Honestly it was dry so no winch or mud/sand tracks was required. One to two spots has prompted me to schedule an hour or two to add my LAMs to my replacement D3. I have it all and have just been lazy. No winch on it either. I have added a rope/wheel winding thing. The AT tires only with my MTs still sitting idly and sadly at work.
