Newly fitted snorkel and new black passenger side grill to match. Wasn’t too difficult to fit. Took the suggested 3 hours. Although 1 of the nuts that fastens the snorkel to the fender is a PITA to reach. Off to the tool shop for a set of ratcheting spanners in the morning.

I bought a set of snap on 20 odd years ago I estimate. still work a treat and life saver. Make sure you get ones with the smallest angle to ratchet you can so they work in confined spaces.

This is what I was thinking about getting TTI 72T Metric Ratcheting Ring/Open-End Spanner Set - 8 Piece TRTSM8 | Total Tools

Check these - I find trade tools normally cheaper than total tools at the same quality.... On Father's day special, the flex head is really useful, and the ratchet angle is small (5 degrees). Cheaper, more sizes, more options with the flex head. Recommended.

If I had to have one or the other, I'd have the flex head every time.

Not today, but left home Sunday 25th on a trip to Brisbane towing our 2.5T Exodus 14. Only got as far as almost to the top of Clyde mountain and a horrible smell followed by billows of steam from under the bonnet had us pulling over quick smart and switching the engine off. We were so lucky that there was somewhere to pull over virtually as it happened. NRMA Complete Care got us towed back to Batemans Bay, the Disco on the back and the Exodus towed behind.

Luckily our usual mechanic is in Batemans Bay and he had us back on the road by Thursday. The interconnector between the heads was the culprit apparently and no other apparent damage done. It's a horrible feeling seeing steam coming out and then worrying about the damage that might have been done. We've made it to Brisbane, not without the drama of a " Low coolant level" alarm. The coolant level is fine and we monitored the coolant temperature via our IID tool which stayed at an acceptable level apart from up the hill out of Wooloongong. It's an odd one because it would disappear in the morning when we started up but come back in the afternoon, while we were driving up.

Still thanking our lucky stars we were able to pull over so quickly, still love the Disco

We use Schmacher Automotive. Are there any others who know Landrovers?
