There is a permanent 12V at the multiplug under the passenger seat. This is intended for electric seats. In my MY14 all this wiring is in place and connected, even though it doesn’t have electric seats. I just fitted a fuse between my UHF and where I tagged into this feed.

Installed a victron smart shunt, the IP rated version, no real reason besides I found them looking at another post and wanted to test it out, gives good data about my second battery, and I can see the voltages of both battery's aswell.

That's just the at a glimpse page, pretty happy with it.

Got a frantic call from the wife saying smoke is coming out of her car while at a shopping center, rushed up to find coolant sprayed everywhere and a nice split in the top plastic tank .
Got some JB weld to do a temp repair and 10ltrs of water just to get it home, then i find its bigger than i thought and a piece broke off so will need to trailer it.
Water bottle lid came off so filled the floor of the disco with water (and sills) and a waterfall came out when the wife opened the door.
Oil extraction syringe came in handy so jacked the front up so it runs down the back and sucked all i could out, hot day so should dry out ok.
Borrowed a vacuum/brake test kit from Dave Airmech953 so will test the brake servo when it cools a bit.

Do you need any more tooling?

    Wrapped gear selector surround

Finally got around to using the wrap that Scott (LRD414) sent me years (yes, really!) ago to wrap the rotary gear selector surround and eliminate that horrible reflection it used to provide with the sun at a certain angle.

Having recently pulled the centre console and rotary gear selector out completely, I realised it wasn't actually too difficult.
Rub line on there was only temporary, settled after a couple of hours. Very happy. Thanks Scott
