Fuel filter was one thing is saw so will do that Monday. Not bad really for a 2010 D4 with 298,000 on the clock.
I’m a few less kms so a good effort

Happily I think the new Family will have as much fun as my crew have had in my D3s. Ten years of Disco(ing) has accumulated lots of toys and kit passed on now. LLMAS, engine flash tool which also reads and clear code.............................................. ....................................

No tears but I will keep all the magnificent memories of Mountain, snow, Mud, Rivers, Deserts, Dirt, Sand, Beaches all across our amazing country my D3s have taken me and my family The very cool buyer seemed genuinely happy with the camping trailer I tossed in. It clearly needs coat of paint after many thousands of miles on dirt and stone tracks and trails

So glad it was not handed over to do inner city school runs only.

    Replacement pending a suitable option.

I did see a very neat D1 at the hand over of the Keys which if some new CATL battery tech and or Solid state options just might tempt me to go old school with new school upgrades

First thing is to go into the settings in the faults section and enable “Pending Faults”

Gap tool I must say is pretty awesome. Fault codes POOOE-22 and P2290-00 were present as expected and a few generic fualts so threw in a new fuel filter, changed the engine oil and filter and cleared the faults. No new faults present after a drive but will now log fuel pressure, rpm, throttle position and maybe egr stuff for a while. preparing for the new HPFP but will test the LPFP first.

I do hate intermittent faults but hey, this is my first fault code since april 2010 or 298,000km so not too bad I guess.

Me too since 2008 and 280k kms other than miscellaneous suspension compressor unhappiness when it needs a kit.

I only get the 0087 code now when it faults after initially getting the 2290 code.

Out of curiosity I did pull the fuel filter apart to see the condition of the filter element. It was black and oily so the new one was definately due.
