just did mine a few weeks back including the elbow that feeds into it. That elbow fell to pieces in my hand.

Get the coolant housing on drivers side of the block done as it will be like cheese. Doing mine very soon.

Swapped my silver roof rails for a set of black ones. Got serious vibration in the driveline on the freeway coming home from work last week , checked the centre bearing support and found that it was barely hanging on so replaced the bearing yesterday.
Crap job but definitely not too difficult.

I went to visit my retired engineer mate in his new aged care complex, and the internal road was so steep and winding that I used the Hill Decent Control to limit my speed while driving out.

Absolutely nothing…she sat in the garage, not a whisper, moan, creak or oil drip. A few electrons were consumed, otherwise a perfect day of D4 ownership.

Which coolant housing on the block do you speak of.. im basically going to have a stripped down engine soon so if there is a hose or housing that im going to loose some more skin doing i would rather donate the skin all at once to the land rover gods instead of feeding them on a regular basis like i am with my $$

    Definitely do this one

Lives to rear of water pump behind the turbo to intercooler pipe. Should have good access with head off otherwise it’s a deep dive through the wheel arch.

Found i had a split in the inner front right CV boot so being a weekend got a used shaft out of an RRS with good CV's and boots, hoped it would fix my vibration issues but they are still there.

Whilst on the theme of split CV boots, part way through a suspension refresh of all 4 struts and new front lower control arms, I've left the passenger front corner till last, and you guessed it, because the inner CV boot has been split for a few weeks and spewing moly grease everywhere (yuk!). The other three corners are done, along with new air line o rings throughout and new dessicant for the compressor. Such a filthy job to change over CV boots but reasonably straight forward. The number of rags I've gone through though makes me wonder whether I should've put a new complete shaft in rather than new boots...............LHF.jpgLHR.jpgRHF.jpgRHR.jpg

So O'Briens called to say my new heated screen is in. I booked the appointment then asked "so do you have the genuine Land Rover clips for the trim?". The response was "no we'll use aftermarket or re-use your existing clips, if you want genuine that'll be an additional cost.". I replied "No worries, you can use the aftermarket clips, because when they fail I'll bring it back and you guys will have to cover the clips and trim under warranty anyway".

Response : "I'll cancel that appointment and get back to you after we get an ETA on genuine clips".
