my response, IT IS NOT people mod race cars, and trucks to make them better and this is what I have done
to tell you the truth, this site can bring more neg comments than I thought it should
thought somehow there would be more camaraderie
IMO opinion, there is more knowledge here, but far less of the latter than the USA Sites
    I fitted 18s in a similar fashion.

I will still point out - it is illegal - so keep that in mind.
If an appropriate authority spotted it you’ll wear a defect.

Having said that piece, the adjustments are not going to cause any metallurgical or strength issues What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Finally finished installing the Longranger 74 litre (custom size) auxiliary fuel tank. The pictures tell most of the story. For anyone planning to do this send me a PM for some suggestions. The main one: change the order of the steps in the instructions... as they are, cutting the existing fuel inlet disables the vehicle on about step 9 of 39. There are various other gotchas. I worked alone without a hoist - quite doable but not in the 5 hours suggested. I'm happy with the result: easy 1000km+ range including some off-road.

At least your fuel pump is more accessable than mine. I've had two fail on mine and the pump is mounted above the tank. First time it failed I had to drop the tank to change it. Second time I just left it in place and installed a better pump in a more accessible location

What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Currently playing in the rear of the D4 adding another accessory fuse box, more USB charging points and a new connection for the fridge to replace the current Merit fitting (going to Anderson)

Pics will be added once complete.

Replaced the upper tailgate brake light - fun most of the time, even more fun with a ladder on the door!
Left it alone and removed the light piece by piece. Why do I choose to do these jobs when it’s 37°?

No difference than machining the entire disc.

    Just use your commonsense!
, I have a lathe that swings 575mm but grinder with a 3m cubitron wheel which work on alu as long as you spray with something like wd 4o, use on the flat not the edge, is far easier

Also, there are 18” rims available that don’t need grinding…so what drove your decision?
