The high mount on the D3 is LED. There's no way to change a bulb.

I wonder as being LED if the D3 will accept it.

Recall some advice here on what Sika product works best.

Mine did. Sika 227. I caught it before it completely fell off. And I used a **** tonne too.
When I redid it I roughed up the surface of the light to give it better purchase.

Yes this has a tonne of goop in place but it has failed on the join with the light surface.

I recall the original light was damaged reversing into an underground car bay and I got a windscreen shop to put in the new one and it had to be done twice back then.

3m 5200 marine sealant would be worth a look. Has a 7 day full cure profile but nothing I've ever used it on has leaked or come off. Can be broken down very slowly over time with acetone for removal.

I would suggest it was probably the wrong type of sikafex , there are several variations with different applications either that or preparation was not done correctly or possibly both

In the WSM it states to use a special chemical to remove the shine from the light where the glue will attach to prep it. It wasn’t simply Isopropyl alcohol. I did not have this at the time, hence like I said, I roughed it up subsequently. 227 is their flexible automotive adhesive, suited to the job.
