Curious as to why you’re planning on selling Rob given the praise and how well suited the D4 seems to your travelling.

Actually $5k for a GVM upgrade is at the higher end of the scale. That's for a Lovells kit which, in SA, includes a fully certified GCM upgrade as well. I was surprised at that but they have the certificate for perusal. I have quite a few friends with heavily modified cruisers and having driven most of them against a 2019 model all I can say is Toyota has obviously spent some time fixing issues that should have never existed in the first place. I have never felt the need for more power with the TDV6 so find it hard to understand why anyone would want more than 650Nm in what is effectively a truck. Read slowish and solid but not a heck of a lot of fun to drive IHMO.Quote:

Interesting. I’ve just clocked up 5 years and 115,000km on mine. At this stage I think I’ll keep it, maybe it’ll be good for another 5 (I hope so). Certainly been fantastic so far and I don’t want to face starting again just yet.Quote:

It’s still tight as a drum, performs better than every (tweaked) and will get a full suspension refit in the new year.
What’s it worth? Doesn’t matter now. The outlay and interest saved is being redirected to Super and will pay off in years to come.
It’s the first time in our lives we said “Yes we want one (2020 Defender). We won’t do it because we can do...... with the same outlay.” Shocked me!

Our crossover is getting a rebuild, the boats going to get a make over and repower, and the house renovations will commence in the new year....
