Hi Guys, If the LCD on the dash is displaying "P" when in Park you'd assume the TCM is registering that its in Park. Having said that when I bought the disco 15,000ks ago the parking pawl wasn't working. The roller that the clicker runs on (in gearbox) was in the bottom of the pan, which I reinstalled and then did oil filter and pan conversion. Do you think the selector rod maybe not be moving the gearslider sensor in the TCM far enough to satisfy the gearshift lock? However it is displaying P when in park.

    Valve body back out

Well turns out the TCM selector sensor was the culprit. I separated the TCM from the valve body and the inside of the slider was feral, will thow a pic on. The selector rod to park pawl was ok, it cant change the selector sensor as can only go in on position because the ****er clicker is fixed in one position. So thankyou guys I really appreciate your input.

In a puddle of oil and metal on the side of the road most likely!
