    LCAs, refurb all bushes?

My first set if LCAs did 98,000km at which point I replaced them with a new complete set of arms. I'm now up over 170,000km so the bushes may not have too long left in them. I was thinking of replacing the bushes in the old set of arms I have here, ready to go in when required.

Now to my knowledge it usually only the rear lower bush that fails. These arms were replaced due to a rear bush failure on one side. Is it worth replacing the front bush and ball joint? Do these other joints have accepted longer lives?

I have a 20T press and lathe to make up dies to press out the bushes, so that side of it is no real issue.

Maybe I'm just being a cheapskate and should just HTFU? LCAs, refurb all bushes?
    Cheers,

I wondered about this when I replaced my LCAs a few months ago and found that the front bushes and ball joints seemed quite serviceable. But I reckon I'll replace them all as it seems silly not to and the bushes and ball joints aren't too expensive.
I, too, have access to a press but was wondering about the best way to get the pressing out bits without having to buy the complete tool(s) as they seem to be designed for pressing the bushes out and in in situ with the arms on the car.
Would you consider making up a few sets of dies and sell them on here?

I assume they would only replace the failed bush, not all of them, hence my question above...

Ive been changing over bushes on my spare set of arms - Im doing the full set of bushes on the old arms as I have no idea how long they where on before I got the D3. Once you've got a spare set of arms theres not much extra cost to do the full set of bushes in the arms

I didnt do my fronts the first time, but did them the second time. They seem to last. I didn't press out. No where to hold the arm. You can remove the centre by drilling or burning it out, then tap it out with a hammer.
Then I folded the lip on the cage in to the centre and cut it with a slitting chisle and pushed it out. I did a walk through on here years ago when I did my first set.

I just pressed them back in with a big socket. Can't use a plate from memory the centre protrudes from the edge
