From AF £88.61 plus shipping so well less that $250 although I got a few other items.

AF don’t offer any other options so I work on basis they have done the homework on what gives them least headaches.

Easy to see it would cost close to $800 for a dealer to replace which is scary. You’d be crying. Literally can get the steering wheel off in 15 minutes now.

I’d love to buy local but………

Thank goodness for 24v metal saws, eh?

Now you have accumulated that special knowledge no bugger will ask you to do that.

Looking at the clockspring and i came across Clocksprings Australia who have them for $149, may as well buy local if the AF item is aftermarket chinese anyway.

The original LR unit was absolutely identical to that supplied by AF made in China minus the LR logo. I’m sure original supplier.

Advanded Factors, one of the favoured UK part suppliers.

Good find - they are also a “brick and mortar” store based in Tasmania.

From the pictures also looks like they source from the same supplier as AF.

I fitted one of these, perfect fit up, and no complaints..

And after the **** poor support for faulty parets from AF - they will never see my coin again

Seems 3x more expensive freight since Covid. I’m seeing $470 courier on LCAs and a few bits also factors GST as well but mostly freight.

Took a chance and bought one off ebay for $125, 2 year warranty and looks identical to all other aftermarket versions. Didn't want to remove the airbag twice so i'll just fit this and be done.
