Check your battery terminals.
Gday All,
I have been having a strange issue over the last couple weeks with my charging system on the D3. Upon starting the car sometimes the alternator will start charging straight away , but sometimes the battery light will remain on and for up to 3 or 4 minutes there is no charging occurring at all.
The alternator was replaced about 5k ago with a new denso OE unit, and once it starts to charge it will continue to do so without issue no matter how long you drive for. I have only recently ie a week ago fitted a new battery so would assume that cant be the fault , as it had occured with my old battery which was 5 yrs old and only showing 550CCA on the load tester .
Anyone heard of this or had it happen , and if so what was found to cause it. I am thinking of removing the alternator and checking all the connections are ok and tight , but have had my hand at the back and cant feel anything obvious.

Check your battery terminals.
Did your charging make a miraculous recovery or did it end up dying because it was terminal?
Cheers, Dale
