Good question. Not that I'm aware of. So far the clock is the only setting that I think is effected by this as it seems to be the only one set on the audio/entertainment system but viewable on the instrument cluster. I have wondered if there may be a method using the GAP Diagnostic IID Tool to set the clock?

And the joys of not having a 2010-2011 model D4 base spec aftermarket headunit upgrade by Driven Sound Vision Technology
So Mike, what is the difference between a 09-10 and 10-11 model (possibly apart from the radio?)

And as an aside, DazzaTD5 fitted my i-Drive a couple of days ago. He left it on performance 9 for my bride to drive home - wow!
I then had one drive around the burbs and very quickly reset it to auto. Just back from a round trip to Geraldton, and still much more sensitive and can go like a scalded cat, so I'm now having to relearn the gentle application process.

I asked GAP and was told it’s not possible

Bugger. That pops that one. I guess twice a year I'll just had to disconnect and then reconnect the battery at the right time (whatever the clock defaults to) to reset it - a pain but doable.
The new headunit does have its own clock time display.

Recall what I've read/been told, the MY09 - MY10 models used a bastardised Ford entertainment system. Identifiable by the two small buttons on the side of the display screen. It seems to be wired/connected on very different setup to the later years and given it's small time period etc. not really developed and supported in the aftermarket industry.
If you want more details I suggest having a read of some of the threads linked in my first post in this thread.

So that's why Rye in Launceston can't finish my kit yet for installation - he's still waiting for a bastardised Ford set-up to play with - as he told me, but it didn't click.
I originally thought all 09-11 had the same 2 button radio version.

Tombie watch this space - if you don't pick up on it I'll PM you when my system is made and delivered.

Problem I can’t accept - can reset the clock twice a year, but the dash will show the wrong date in the info section too....

And I don’t like that idea!

I’ve asked GAP and got a no.
I’ve also contacted BBS to see if they can make it happen.

    Thanks Gavin,

I’ve been talking with Connects2 and Aerpro about a solution too, really shouldn’t be too hard to make a small keypad and relay the screen into the Aux Vid line.

I am surprised there hasn’t been a solution found yet for either the D3 or early D4 given the popularity of fitting after market head units.

Seems the clock is more encrypted than the engine map.

Ah yes, I didn't think about the date.

I'm very surprised that GAP can't resolve this given the depth their product seems to be able to go down to...

    2009MY is a Discovery 3

2010-2011MY is the Ford system with two buttons on the screen.

2012MY-onward is the system that the CALR05 work with.

Model year & build year are not always the same.
