Thread: LR3 Trim Reconditioner

Hi All,

I thought I'd share some info about reconditioning plastic trim on LR3 Disco. Ive used a bunch of different products in the past and they have all been average and run on the paint and fade after a few weeks.
I saw someone recommend Forever Black dye. I found a large bottle on amazon au for $60.
This stuff is great, super impressed. I didnt get the applicator with the dye , i picked up some foam paint applicators from hardware store.
I ended up putting 2 coats on as my first coat was to think and streaky. So when you put it on just keep the applicator moist. I taped in the trim as it was easier than cleaning every mistake. The dye will stay on the paint work but comes off easily even when dry.
I put on and then went back 5 min later with an old tee shirt to smooth out any streaks. Some photos in attachment. Good Luck!TRIM LR3-001.jpg

I have been using Solution Finish which looks like a similar product. Lasts months instead of until the next wash or heavy shower.
