2010 discovery vs 2010 Range Rover sport

    Gday all,
I’m updating my d2 soon, we have a d3, was thinking of D4 but, now I have seen some good km, claimed well maintained RRS. I know it’s personal choice, but is the suspension the same as in can be adjusted access hieght and off road hieght?
Is there a great deal of room difference in back and can back seats be folded down in RRS, towing capacity is same 3500kg braked, is motor the same in both if both 3 ltr diesel?
Although the v8 diesel is appealing.

I thought an RRS was just a Disco in tight leather pants, big gold chains and it's hat on backwards.

Huge difference in amount of room, virtually no aftermarket accessories for the RRS.

    Whatever suits your needs.

Depends on what you want to do - the RRS is 5.5" shorter in the wheelbase so this shows up in rear luggage space - also the slope of the rear hatch further reduces the load capacity - however for one or two the space is fine - with the rear seats down I can sleep in the rear.

However as a touring vehicle - the boxy fridge shape of the D3/4 is more usable.

Yes there is the 3.6 TDV8 in the RRS and the Supercharged V8s that are not in the D3/D4 - as far as the 3.0 TDV6 - the RRS only has the 180kw version.

EAS is the same, lots less room in second row, no third row in L320, rear load area looks much smaller. Not sure of the tune in the 3.0l diesels, but I thought that the RRS gets more Nm (700 vs 600).

    Thanks Garry
Yes just 2 of us & dog, towing 22 ft caravan, we will keep d3 as wife loves it. I don’t think the RRS can take a bull bar or am I misinformed there?
I can get a rear wheel carrier same as d3 as we have a HF radio aerial to mount as well.
    I’ll keep pondering,

The D3/D4 bar will fit on RRS but it is not certified for the RRS.

Zilch has a nice RRS with a bar on his.
