OEM Discovery 4 BULL BAR fit to Discovery 3

    Good day all,

I would like to hear from anyone that has possibly done a Disco4 to Disco 3 Oem bullbar change.
Haven't seen anything through the forums, and I have looked and read for a number of days so that I don't have to pester anyone.

Can pick one up reasonably cheap but the fitment would be the biggest issue and cost. (it also comes with the in fill plate with headlight washers to cover the big space made buy it when installed.)

Have spoken to triumph landrover at lonsdale and ritters but no joy.

Personally I like the shape of the bar, and don't wish to start a forum war on ARB ECB vs etc.

So to that end if anyone may have done this change or anyone knows of someone who has, I would be appreciative if you could reach out and let me know.

    Many thanks for your time,

    regards,

    Darren and Family

I’ve had both the D3 and D4 with OL Bullbars - great bit of kit.

Stand to be corrected but I think the only difference is that the small filler sections under the headlights are different. Other than that I think you’ll be OK.

    PS: While you’re at it:
    - move the bulbar fuse up into the engine bay - tucked up under the bulbar is a crazy place to have it.
    - the little relay PCB is prone to corrosion so if you have LED lights some people dump it and wire directly in parallel with car lights.

    Gday Harry,

Thank you for your input mate - truly appreciated.
If I PM you with my number would you mind if we touched base about your installs?

    Hi Darren

No problem - happy to help where I can - note I did not install these myself - had it done when I purchased the vehicles.

You realise hes talking about the factory alloy bar and not OL bars, a big difference between the 2 .

And the D4 bar will not be certified for the D3, so even if it fits will technically not be legal - so a risk management decision.
