Thread: Gap tool blue tooth dropping out

Hi guys have a second hand gap tool from my brother. The connection to my phone keeps dropping out. I reached out to the GAP tool guys who gave me a fix of putting some extra foam inside the unit to secure the bluetooth module a little better but this has seamed to stop working. Anyone else have a fix that has worked for them. I am all ears, don’t really want to buy another one cause of this issue.

Can you post some photos of the insides?

Sounds like the BT module has a bad connection. May be possible to resolder but I have not opened mine up.

The early models did have a faulty Bluetooth transmitter.
