    2007 Disco 3 - Suspension Fault

Took my recently purchased disco 3 for an easy run off-road today and got a suspension fault whilst in off-road mode. Air compressor has been working well and the system doesn't seem to have any leaks when parked for a couple of days.

The fault was cleared just by stopping, turning off the vehicle and then restarting. There was no movement in the height (dropping to bump stops or going to extended mode) when the suspension fault happened. Happened a couple more times while on the trail. Back in normal height for 1.5hr trip home had no issues.

Any ideas what it may be? Cheers

The fault codes are bang on for this stuff. Step #1 read codes.

But 99.9% sounds like tired compressor and time for rebuild.

Replace engine bay main fuse and relay for good order because they get overworked.

4x4airseals sells the rebuild kits and on website gives good fault code info.

But first check because I was pulling parts off a wrecked 2007 and it had a 2012 AMK compressor and not original Hitachi.

Mine did this last weekend. On a big climb using extra height via gap and hadn’t spotted car switched to extended height on a mode change. I got a Rear left height sensor mechanical failure - alignment or adjustment is incorrect. C1A05-78

I assume I overextended the suspension. I was in a knarly climb.

That’s the value of a good code reader.

Thanks mate. The guy who sold it to me said the compressor was only 12 months old at the most. I'll take your word for it though over his and check it out.

Looking at getting a decent fault reader... Was considering the GAP for the extra modification ability. Might be time to order one.

    Appreciate you commenting.

Could be new Hitachi, could be the original rebuilt (partially), could be a cheap Hitachi knock off, could be an AMK retrofitted in which case some ECU updates are needed for it to run in a MY07.

Could be a sensor so knowing the codes is a big point in the right direction.
