Haven't tried the fuse I left the battery off for around an hour or so

I did that - didn't work, but my indie did the fuse 17 (a la Rangie fix apparently) and all good, so what have you got to lose?

Un plugged the fuse and turned the ignition on and same red light but comes up with suspension fault on the lcd display it does not do that with the fuse in. I can still get live data with the scan tool ie wheel sensor heights air pressure etc it's like it's turned off

A hard reset doesnt mean you need to pull out the ecu. Disconnect the leads from battery terminals and join them together for 30 seconds should be enough.

You havent provided any other error codes.

have you checked all other height sensor connections and the airlines for leaks?

Gavin - that trick is unique to the Keyless Vehicle Module fault. On the D4 this fuse supplies the KVM but with the D3 this is for the drivers door window switch controls. Great to think outside of the box though.

Crisis averted it's all back on line and some what calibrated best I can in he driveway that's not ideal. Attacked it yesterday with a fresh head and found the obscure section in the scan tool to re enable the module after calibration and all good no more height sensor codes just gallery's filling too fast and too slow so ile investigate the compressor some more . But only throws a code off road
