    Transfer Case Oil

    Gday All,

    Plenty of threads on gearbox and engine oil but havent seen much info on the transfer case oil. I did a oil change on it once but am due for another but dont seem to see the oil advertised... from memory its was a land rover oil and only needed 1.8ltrs or something like that.

    Where are people buying it , and is there a better more readily oil available.

    There are a lot of threads on it. There are some aftermarket oils by Royal Purple etc, but I just buy it from Land Rover. In fact it’s super cheap from the UK so I normally buy it with something else I’m purchasing.

    Thats handy if you have a land rover dealer in town ... not trying to buy the cheapest substitute , just havent seen it advertised ... must be looking in the wrong spots.

    I always use the LR oil whatever it is.
    Changed the Transmission oils, colour compare pics.

    I have Ravenol TF-0870 to go into mine this w/e.

    Did you find documentation that this oil is suitable for the centre diff clutch pack? The description doesn't indicate that it is.
