Thread: Large (ish) power cable routing through firewall

    Hi Imaz, all D3s, D4s and RRSs have a large clutch cable grommet located high up on the firewall to the right of the brake booster, ( on the motor side of the brake booster )

    This is a large grommet and as there are no manual D3s or D4s, the grommet is always unused and available for running a number of large cables into the cabin from the engine bay.

    The whole cue for this thread is because mine has a clutch master cylinder on the other side of that hole.

    You must have one of the few clutched D3/4.

    In this case, have a look at the hole in the firewall, directly behind the accelerator peddle.

    While it is smaller, you can get two 6B&S cable through that hole.

    Yeah, that was where I was headed next. Just need to source some bigger cable locally. Most of the stuff at the "usual suspects" tops out at 6mm2.
