Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery

Depends which compressor you have and if you want the kit plus alloy drier cap or just the basic kit - Air Suspension Repair Kit and Parts for Land Rover, Range Rover, 4x4 Air Seals - mail order available.

This C1A13 code is becoming more and more prevalent and Hitachi compressor owners have begun to discover the system more and realise how simple the repairs are... or you can drop a thousand bucks on a new compressor- a smart cookie on this forum with time on their hands should set up a refurbished compressor market with core replacement for members.

Just to clarify this particular point. No. The exhaust valve is a pilot driven valve and the system is set up to always keep the gallery (of which the desiccant canister is a part) above ambient pressure (anywhere between 1 & 4 bar) in the gallery. There is no way for ambient moisture to get into the desiccant while the system is idle.

The intake and exhaust both happen from the same end of the canister, so that's the end with the highest moisture content. The outside end of the cap is the gallery end.
