    disco 4 engine

Hello so i am just about to remove the 3.0 litre engine from the discovery 4 i got, anyway because the engine was seized i was trying to figure out how i was going to get the converter bolts out. I thought i would try to turn the engine over a bit i had a large lever on the end of a breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley nut so i tried to turn it and it didn't turn at all but then when i put a lot more pressure on it the engine started turning over, although it is very tight to turn i now do not think it has a broken crank but i am a bit confused because of the amount of free play at the crank pulley , if anyone has any thoughts i would be very interested to hear them. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

From what i've seen the crank snaps in the front but it could be spun bearings as well, either way it needs to come out for a proper diagnoses.
