Tail light on tailgate likely cracked.
Other potentials are
- Shark fin port on roof
- Rail mounts in roof channels
- Rear glass sealing failed
Likely the Tailgate light though.
Well it’s as wet as I can remember it in Perth at the moment … so much so it’s raining in the disco!
How would water get in the back of car (rear inside light) and saturate the upper liner in the back ?

+1 for cracked tailgate light. Mine is cracked both sides but has been re-sealed and no longer leaks.
At least in my 101 any rain getting in just goes straight out again through all the gaps in the floor.![]()

If you cannot justify replacement and the lens section is not faded…
Get some Vehicle Wrap. Clean the top of the light, apply the film abs trim to suit.
This is a good idea even if you replace as it protects from UV and increases its life.
