    Angry D4 injectors

    ARGHHH Can any one tell me how to remove the fuel return hoses from D4 discovery 3.0 TDV6 i'm buggered if i can get them off. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Ahhh this takes me back!! I'll go open the bonnet and see if it comes back to me mate.

    I think I was there for 30 mins before I cracked it

    Do they have the same spring clip as a D3 has ?

    First photo is how they look..

    Second photo I've got a pick under the ledge and unlocked the locking device

    Third photo how they look unlocked.. Once unlocked use the big squared edge to pull them up. Firmly but not too hard. Don't want to break the pipes.

    Thanks for asking.. My whole left bank was unlocked!!!!

    As Josh has shown, you slide the top upwards and then they detach. Like Josh, took me forever too

    I guess with a lot of or D4s getting up there with kms, an injector swap out is on the cards. Clocked 215000 km today. Is this easy enough to DIY or best left to experts?

    Easy DIY if - you buy fitting kits to go with them, follow a cleanliness approach, and have something to reset the injectors for re-learn such as IID tool etc.

    I’ll let you know - I’m doing mine in a few weeks, but I’ve had them out before to do the intake manifold so it’s not a big deal.
