I’ve got a new oil cooler to put in next project and it would be ideal to do this EGR coolant pipe work delete and fuel pump belt at same time without reinstalling the crossover pipe so will wait on your update. (Euro4 2.7TDV6)

Watching with interest. Been on the pending improvement list for some time. The non-Turbo side exhaust manifold EGR off take looks to be the perfect place for an EGT probe.

A full EGR blanking and removal kit complete with new heat shields and all blanks and plugs needed would be a highly valued bit of kit. 2.7 TDV6 EGR coolant system delete

I'm another who's on the list to remove the EGR coolant pipe's & hose's. EGR has been blanked so it would be good to simplify the cooling system a little

Watching with interest also. A full EGR delete and plumbing removal is on the list. Priority is low, but it's there...

    Something to ponder...

I generally don't recommend a mod for the sake of doing a mod. While I do plenty of tune and egr "solutions" I don't hammer customers to do it.
There are plenty of D3 / D4 (mostly D4) that come in from the county and when you look in the intake its pristine clean (yes oily but not that nasty tar like product).

If your vehicle gets plenty of long drives there there is less issues relating to egr, clogging the intake.

Very true. Being country based my vehicle gets lots of long leg stretches.

Prior to modifying the software and removing manifold to fit parts, there was some build up, far less than I see on metro use vehicles.

Like this mess and I’d say mine is a city car that does regular long country trips including a run across the Nullarbor. But, this is an 07 build and EGRs we’re original and still working.

I had mine done when I had a tune up done by my indie in May. Car was 7.5 years old then. 99% suburban driving. Hate to think what they looked like. FWIW, I went to Wollongong about 90km south of where I live and back in August. Fuel economy was 9.8L/100kms. That was sitting on 110 and 100 for 90% of the time. Much better economy since the change.
