Short answer..Yes!

You'll need to earth it to complete the switching circuit to trigger the relay.

Am surprised they don't make an adapter to suit your D4.

Yes, it’s frustrating but I was advised there is no piggyback adaptor for the D4 with bi-xenon lights.

As the D4 uses a multi plug containing around 10 cable inlets it’s a niche product.

Correct, no piggy back from Stedi available. Splice into the wire you mentioned at the lh headlight, connect to earth and power and wire in the switch and all will be well.

I suspect I'd really like one of these ( Stedi ST3303 23" ) for night running in my otherwise unmolested D4. Not planning on a bullbar , winch etc, but with my aging eyesight a bit of extra nightlight on the open road would not go astray - sounds like a good Xmas present if I can rake up some volunteers.

With ageing eyesight you want high CRI and low glare.

What would you recommend?

I run a good quality (Baja Designs) 40" single row LED light bar under the roofrack and a pair of FYRLYT 9000 driving lights on the bullbar, with standard HID headlights.

I find that I often have to turn the LED bar off due to reflected glare in certain conditions (eg rain or mist in the air / light fog / a lot of reflective roadside signage or new cat's eyes on the road), and run with just the vehicle's normal HID / Xenon high beam and the FYRLYT's. The "yellow" light of the FYRLYT's is generally much easier on the eyes.

Having said that, on those occasions when I do have everything turned on, it lights up everything in front and to the sides of the vehicle like daylight.
