Thread: Noise under dash

The other day on a long trip, I had, for a couple of hours, a noise which sounded like electronic feedback.
This was coming from under the drivers side dash towards the centre console.
I pulled over and switched the sound system off, no joy, then turned the car off, same so went into the shop and had a pie. When I came back after 10 minutes and was still there so started up and continued on my journey. About 10 minutes later it disappeared and did not come back. 600km later at home all is normal, but my IID tool will not now connect to read to codes, if any. Fuse 66 is good. No warnings have come up.
This has me baffled and will keep an eye on things. I have just turned over 280,000km. For the next three months I will be doing regular trips Coffs to Shellharbour for work so keep my fingers crossed no major problems.

Brand new 60,000km ago. The noise was there with the engine off.
