What happened with the fuel filter - that is nearly 3 times the genuine price. Looks like they ordered the kit (is about $265) that comprises the mount, the filter and the sensor - they must have stuffed something up and did the lot.
Looks like you had a bit more done than I did - but here's what my major service cost me a little while back. Done by the only people in Kalgoorlie I will allow to put a spanner on my D4.

I had all transmission oils changed just over 12 months ago. My cost for the ZF box kit was a bit higher than yours by about $100. However, I think you got ripped off on the 8 litres of Lifeguard. You paid over $1000 for just 8 litres. I paid just under $500.

All,
Thanks very much for the responses and feedback. It seems that the charges were generally reasonable, and thus I now have a good basis for going back. Cheers
Just remember that what you had done as per the list above was a lot more than the standard service which is Ok if thats what you wanted (I appreciate you were heading on a trip and wanted to be sure all was good) - you just need to be sure what you want and discuss with the mechanic.

Mine may well be there in the NY as although I love driving the "D", the tales of woe on the breaking of expensive very short lived parts are horrific. Having just had the aircon comp and belt tensioner changed ($3.4K) after just 107K which I reckon is disgraceful, I really can't see me going any further with LR ownership.
I know we only get the bad news on here but I'm not sure I want to have to report any of it myself.

2022 is the year of my second Timing Belt change and I am buying the parts now to do that and Acc belt and all major idlers and tensioners (and water pump).
Checking with brains trust as I replaced the original dud design oil pump in 2014 when last done to updated type.
I’m not going to replace it again this time unless there is vigorous disagreement here or on disassembly I find a heavy oil leak in which case I’ll buy those parts locally.
255k kms
Unless you think there is an issue, then I would run with with the oil pump you have.
Though if you wanted to replace it, it is only $170 from Ford ($450 from Landrover) so not a lot of additional cost - a bit of labour as well.

Did the last updated pump also include the oil flow increase? There have been about 6 or 7 updates to the oil pump and I am not sure when this included an increase in flow capacity, but I suspect this is the primary reason the D4 2.7’s have the least crank issues.
Also how many kms since it was last replaced - are you comfortable with it going twice as many again if you don’t change this time around? If it has only done around 120-140k then this is not a concern, but will it still be good after say 240-280k if you skip it this time around?
Also do the crankshaft pulley at the same time.
