Yes and there was a LR tech advisory on this a few years back - where the A pillar plastic cover clips on water runs down and into the A pillar then into the foot wells. I had this issue a few years back - was only the passenger side in my case.

I took the A pillar cover off, and put gaffer tape over all the holes in the pillar. Where the protrusions on the inside of the cover clips into the pillar I covered this area with silastic then put the cover back on - the sealant seals around the holes when it dries.

No had a water issue since.

Oh - certainly WindScreen Obriens know of this and when they replace the windscreen when they reinsert the pillar covers using new clips they also used sealant where the cover clips onto the pillar.

After removing any moisture and dying out the carpet i went looking for the leak, found one of the front drain tubes was blocked.
Poked trimmer line down about a meter until it stopped which is close to the elbow join, removed the flare and a few clips to drop the arch liner down enough to get my hand up to the exit point. Looks like it has been replaced before since it doesn't have the X shaped duckbill that every online pic shows, managed to get a small stick and poke in til water ran out so i'm calling that a win.
