Open the Bluetooth function on your phone, push gear icon next to the car connection. Check that Calls and Audio are turned on.
Since gaining possession I have had an issue with calls having virtually non existent outgoing speech volume.
I own an Android phone that patches via Bluetooth to the LR4 with no difficulty.
My wife has an Iphone which also patches via Bluetooth, it does not have the low volume issue.
Connection of my phone and entering the connection screen results in the Microphone Icon being displayed with a slash through it. Pressing this Icon has no effect.
Today I went through the process of programming the Speech Recognition Function. Testing revealed everything functions without fault.
A web search revealed many owners have experienced difficulties with the Bluetooth Module however their symptoms did not totally duplicate what I am seeing.
Hoping someone may be able to point me in a direction to rectify this.

Since configuring this phone setting, outgoing speech volume has considerably improved using hands free.
Whether an iphone has a like setting I am yet to establish.
