Front or rear?
Travelling at the moment and am in urgent need of a left hand brake caliper for the D3 (05 TDV6) Broke when on the Great Central Road. Am at present in Leonora and travelling to Kalgoorlie in next 2 days Any suggestions as where I may source the parts (new or S/H) in WA would be much appreciated.

I'm in Kalgoorlie and have a reasonably well equipped shed / workshop if that is any help to you.
Not sure where you could find a caliper though - there's a wrecking yard here but I doubt they would have any Land Rover parts. Never know your luck though - Boulder Parts & Towing 9093 1542 might be worth a call.
Local Business Goldfields Off Road is also very good with Land Rovers - I get mine serviced there and odd jobs done on it. The owner Joha is a very good mechanic and has some good contacts in Perth for Land Rover parts etc. Their number is 9091 4797
If you need a hand when you get to Kalgoorlie - my number is (secret). I'm not doing much at the moment other than some woodwork out in the shed, so feel free to call.
Cheers ......... Brian

Brian, is Goldfields Off Road the one on a corner on the ring road near Boulder with many Toyotas hanging about?

No - it's out in West Kalgoorlie almost next door to Fiesta Canvas (what kind of a man could perform such deeds) - corner of Great Eastern Hwy & Atbara Street. There's a pretty wide variety of vehicles parked outside most days, including Land Rovers.
The previous owners, who have just sold the business to their head mechanic and his wife, are Land Rover fanatics and have more than a couple of them.
Cheers .........

I think most major centres that are some distance from dealerships will have at least one “recommended” mechanical service business. It’s just a matter of finding someone with local knowledge and experience. There’s quite a few Land Rovers in Kalgoorlie these days, and I don’t think that most owners would be travelling the 1,200km round trip to get them serviced, unless they also had other reasons to travel.
I am not aware of any other local Land Rover owners who are on this forum, though a couple are on related facebook pages.
Cheers .........
