My headlining is still good - albeit grotty with fingerprints from various jobs. But Im eagerly following as I've been contemplating what to fit in the rear to prevent my Husky's fur from sticking to the roof! I'm now think replacing the lining with vinyl or leather might be the way to go.

Has anyone contemplated a colour change?

I'm not a fan of the beige upper which starts with pillars and goes to the roof.

I've found vinyl replacements for the roof lining (leather is hard to find in that size!), but the grab handles, roof consoles. etc would need to be painted or covered. Thoughts? Sorry for slightly hijacking

Edit: love the idea of adding car builders to the roof

The grey furry finish stock in the D3s was not available so I have the later D4 beige style now but with grey furry sun visors.

In theory, a trimmer could cover it in anything so long as you can get a wide enough roll and it will conform to the complex shape.

The headliner is designed to be pretty weak to allow the side curtain airbags to explode out of the headliner so keep it simple.

Hmmm... I didn't think airbags came outta there!? Good shout - thanks. I'll reconsider my choices.
