    2.7l TDV6 EGR issues

    Hi all,

    my Disco 3 2,7lD (2008) has got some issues with the EGR bank A.
    LIM mode and no way to delete it with the iCarsoft.
    It came back with an ADAC transport and now I have it at my workshop.

    Fist of all we found a little oxidation on the electrical plug on bank A,
    cleaned it and also checked the mechanical valve too.

    All seams fine but the fault came up again.

    Does someone have voltage values we can measure on pins?

    after some researches, where I didn't get and information I checked my faulty one in my workshop

    it's from a LR 3, 2.7l 2008

    the connector has 5 pins,

    ° ° - - ( ) °

    small pins are the valve position sensor, which is a kind of an hall electronic

    + V ( ) - (5V) the voltage is :
    open valve 4.5 V,
    closed valve 0.8V

    - - selenoid,
    can be triggered with 12Vdc, polarity has to be changed for opening and closing

    Not sure how strict your TUV inspection is nut may be best to replace the faulty egr or if possible blank them with a software patch.

    we already exchanged the faulty one, so I could check the one which was in the car

    It's a half day job doing it and also not quite cheap if you go for good ones.

    So I thought how can I make a tool for emulating them when I get stuck in the dessert without a workshop nearby.

    Cheaper to have the software patch applied.

    Lots of tuners in the UK can do it, Bell Auto Services for one.
