    So next question - which engine/gearbox combo? (Helps with diagnostics if you add vehicle details).

    You also have a gear selector fault as well - which can also cause problems.

    That want happend to my d3 a few month back. Ended up being the compressor. It was a worn intake valve on the head of the compressor.
    Part was from x8R England 25 pounds
    All fixed.

    It is a 2013.5 L320 6 Speed SDV6 130k .... Next is to do the testing although I think the end result will be a new compressor (keeping the car at wife required level of reliability/availability).

    I think I am due for a compressor/desiccant service anyway..

    Did this relate to the sensor voltage error or, presumably, a high sensor temp reading?
