    Handbrake adjustment disc movement now

Hello all. I have just finished adjusting the handbrake, put the right wheel on, and was putting the left wheel back on, when I noticed movement in the disc. Old school cars, I would say its a lose wheel bearing. That is the effect I have. Any suggestions as to possibility of being wheel bearing, if so can I adjust it like on a trailer for example, of is it another thing that needs replacing by a professional?

    Gday

Disc on a D4 floats in the hub, so until the wheel is clamped up you won’t be certain.

Once it’s clamped up - do the “wheel wiggle” test.

If there play in the bearings, they’re a sealed unit. Eg. Replacement. Use only hubs from SKF or Timken.

Thank you for that information Tombie. Mine is a D3, so I'm guessing not much difference.

Handbrake adjustment done, worked nice and quiet twice, and the screaming started back today.
I cant do anything much with it at the moment though, I'm trying to remove the filler plug on the auto do I can put the new fluid in, now the filer is changed.

If you haven't seen it before, I found Bodsy's brake bible helpful for EPB adjustment. It may help in tracking down the squealing issue.
