Thread: Passenger air bag fault

For quite some time now I have had a very intermittent air bag warning light come on after startup. This has now progressed to a hard fault and it is on all the time. On reading this fault with a Rovacom it tells me that the fault is is a B0020 Left side airbag deployment control :general Electrical failure - circuit open and a second B0020 - circuit resistance below threshold. This is a 2016 Discovery 4.
It was suggested earlier to me by an auto electrician that it was most likely the seat airbag and that the plug/socket under the seat could have a poor contact - I have removed and reconnected the plug/socket with no difference. I am currently in Central Queensland towing a van and would probably wait until I get home before tackling any serious repairs.
Does anyone have advice or preferably a circuit diagram that I can at least check that the circuit is good ?
I could not find any thread with this fault but if there is one could you please direct me there.
Also if anyone knows of an auto electrician good with Discos in Mackay, Rocky or Gladstone pls advise.

I believe that I have fixed the problem since its been some months and the fault has not reappeared. I found that the plastic locking tab in the connector was weak/ pushed back into the plug and this allowed the plug to rattle loose. Some card board to jam it back in and some glue to keep it there.
