    Extended Car Warranty Recommendation

    Hi All,

After a big drama with inlet manifold and then HPFP I think I need to extend the car warranty. At the moment the car warranty that come from the previous owner is expiring in August 2024 and only cover approximately 30% of the repair cost. I contacted them and they said it cannot be extended because they only do for car dealer.

Does anyone have experience and can recommend an extended car warranty?

    Thanks,

I had assumed these rigs were basically at the end of their warrantable lives? The newest D4 turns 8 this year after all?

I thought extended warranties weren’t worth the paper they were printed on.

I lucked out when I bought my D2. The yard had RACV cover for its cars. Sure, I said... until it did a head gasket after about 6 weeks. They coughed up $3K of the $3,400 bill.

But, you can't buy that, it has to come with the car. I reckon I'd spend the $$ on proper servicing.

Before I moved onto the new Defender, i had 4 days left on the extended warranty on my D4, and it did a turbo. 10k repair bill fully covered by the EW. I am very happy with that.so I think they are worth it, provided you read what they cover. Caveat Emptor applies.

Have EW on the wife's jeep has paid for itself already, and the new L663 has a 5yr EW after the factory Wty expires. Trouble-free motoring, in my view.
